Switching environment snapshot

In some cases, you might need to change the snapshot deployed to an environment with minimal interruption. The approach described in Undeploying app from an environment first undeploys the old snapshot then you need to manually redeploy the new one. These undeploy and redeploy operations would take time and during that period you application endpoints will not be available to accept incoming requests. However, to perform the snapshot change activity with minimal interruption, you can use swith snapshot functionality. For example, to switch an application snapshot to a different one via the Designer, you need to navigate the Environments view and select the environment. Next, you will be directed to the environment details view.

To switch the snapshot in environment details view:

Select Switch, Open snapshot dialog will be displayed
In the Open snapshot dialog, click on the new snapshot that you would like to switch to.
